Seminar on Utah Community Association Law --
We're in the process of prepararing for an all-day seminar, likely to be held on March 31, to cover all aspects of community association law. The seminar will revisit the 2011 changes in community association law, how they're affecting associations, and the best practices in dealing with them. We'll also be presenting on areas chosen by visitors to our blog, www.utahcondolaw.com. If there's something you want us to cover, visit this page to cast your vote.
Significant changes were made to the insurance, reserve and registration requirements for condomimiums; in light of the changes, we presented a three-hour course on the changes, held at the following locations, on the following dates:

Upcoming CAI National Courses:
Lincoln Hobbs travels to Natick, MA. for the M100, Essentials of Community Association Management course on March 8-10; he'll be teaching the M204, Community Association Governance at the CAI Annual Convention on April 30 - May 1, and he will teach the M205, Risk Management course in San Diego on June 28-29.
On the Road for CAI (again):
Lincoln Hobbs was in Lebanon, N.H., teaching CAI's M205 Risk Manaagement course on May 19 and 20; on June 1-3, he was in Chicago, IL., teaching the M100, Essentials of Community Association Management course; on November 3-4, he taught the M205 again, in Santa Ana, CA.
And Teaching at Home, In Between
And in the weeks in between and after these national community association law presentations, he presented at Daybreak City Creek, West Jordan and Park City on the 2011 changes to the Utah Condominium Act and the Utah Community Association Act.
UCCAI Roundtable
On May 5, 2011, Lincoln Hobbs presented a session on "Important Things all Board Members Should Know," at the UCCAI First Annual Round Table; he taught again on October 19, on legislative developments.
